Anthropoid Hallucal Metatarsals (Mt1)
Project
ID: 00000C311
Public
This project provides 3D surface models of hallucal metatarsals (Mt1) of Miocene catarrhines, as well as extant anthropoids, that were used in: Patel et al., 2017, "Catarrhine hallucal metatarsals from the early Miocene site of Songhor", Journal of Human Evolution, 108:176-198. Although only specimens illustrated in the manuscript's figures are currently available in this Morphosource project, eventually all specimens will be uploaded for users to access. This project is also linked to Morphosource Project 532: "Anthropoid Primate Feet" where users can find additional surface and scan data of anthropoid primate foot bones. The data provided here were acquired in part with generous funding provided by the National Science Foundation (BCS 1317047 & BCS 1539741, the L.S.B. Leakey Foundation, the Wenner-Gren Foundation, and the University of Southern California.
