Lightbody:
smilo: Scans of a skull of Smilodon fatalis (LACMHC 2001-3; Pit 13, G-10, 12.5' deep, Hancock Park, Los Angeles, CA) for Mags Lightbody of the BBC. Scanned by Matthew Colbert 14 December 2012.
16bit: 1024x1024 16-bit TIFF images. P250D, 450 kV, 3 mA, large spot, 1 brass filter, empty container wedge, 190% offset, 32 ms integration time, slice thickness = 1 mm, S.O.D. 625 mm, 1000 views, 1 ray averaged per view, 1 sample per view, inter-slice spacing = 1 mm, field of reconstruction 240 mm (maximum field of view 250.4902 mm. Field of view reported on scan form corresponds to a corrected value after applying a correction of 1.01319%. Field of view used in ACTIS equals 239.837 mm. Reported maximum field of view reflects uncorrected value), reconstruction offset 9000, reconstruction scale 7000. Ring-removal processing done by Julia Holland based on correction of raw sinogram data using IDL routine “RK_SinoRingProcSimul” with parameter “bestof5=11.” Post-reconstruction ring correction applied by Jessie Maisano using parameters oversample=3, binwidth=21, sectors=60 over grayscale range 0-11264. Total slices = 342
